(Due to COVID-19)
The Mississippi Regional Housing Authority No. VIII is monitoring the federal, state, and local governments’ response to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak. As of March 13, 2020, Public Housing Agencies across the nation are closing their doors to the public. Offices are still running and will communicate by phone, email, or mail. Most offices have drop boxes installed outside, so documents can still be hand-delivered.
If you lose wages or employment, please report these changes by completing the COVID-19 Self-Certification form or by calling/emailing a housing specialist in your area.
We are attempting to expedite the process and change your rental portion using this self-certification form. Please note the warning, if you falsely claim a reduction of income, you may be liable for any rent overpaid on your behalf and may jeopardize your housing assistance.
Staff contact information for assisted housing can be viewed HERE. Continue visiting the housing authority’s website for the latest on its current operations. Due to a high volume of calls and modified office hours, response times are expected to be lengthy. We encourage everyone to follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
